Mysteryland was the first major EDM festival to hit the Netherlands. Starting out as a hardcore festival in 1993 it kept growing in size, line-up, and attendance. The festival soon started to play host to other genres in the electronic music scene Mysteryland is also a big arts festival besides the massive music line-up. This famous festival is usually one of the last festivals of the Dutch festival season.
4.Ultra Music Festival

UMF is one of the biggest and most famous festivals in the United States and across the world. Originating in Downtown Miami in 1999 the festival has made a massive name for itself in the past 20+ years. The line-up of this mega festival spans multiple genres, artists, and stages. Even incorporating a full on live music stage into the festival. Ultra music festival truly is one of thee biggest electronic music festivals in the world.
3. Untold
Attendance: 372k
Untold festival is the biggest electronic music festival in Romania. It started out in 2015, when the Romanian city of Cluj Napoca was named the European Youth Capital. The Cluj Arena is converted into a massive electronic dance music festival for two weekends. Untold organises the festival on a chapter-based storytelling experience. The 2022 edition was based around a lunar-themed experience.
2. Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is one of the most popular music festivals in the world. Starting out in 2005 in the Belgian town of Boom. Tomorrowland has their own resident DJs in the form of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, they play every single Tomorrowland event. Tomorrowland is mostly famous for it’s incredible visual displays across the festival. Ranging from a massive decorated mainstage, to a tiny tunnel at the far side of the festival full of ravers. Every single thing you see is in-theme.

Electric Daisy Carnival, or EDC in short is the biggest electronic music festival in the world. The flagship event of Insomniac events is known for it’s incredible light & firework displays. This festival completely transforms a part of Las Vegas into a giant music & arts festival. The event plays host to a huge amount of artists, genres, and stages.

Attendance: 1.000.000+
The Street Parade is the biggest electronic music EVENT in the world. The difference is that this event started out as, and still is, a protest. The first edition of the Street Parade had a grand total of 1000 attendees and was a protest under the motto: Demonstration for Love, Peace, Liberty, Generosity and Tolerance. This kept exponentially growing every edition. The second edition of the Street Parade had a total of 10.000 visitors, and not even eight years later the first edition with over a million visitors was cited. The Street Parade might technically not be an electronic music festival or arts festival, but it is definitely a massive event to be reckoned with.
